On your arrival, the first thing you need is a place to stay at. If you like luxurious ambience and a room-service accompanied by a large restaurant and a fully-equipped apperitif bar, you should certainly visit the Grand Hotel, situated in the most beautiful square in Valjevo- Vojvoda Zivojin Misic Square. In contrast, if your wishes are more modest, you can also be very well accomodated in the Beli Narcis Hotel, which is also claimed to be very good and situated right next to the Town Hall.

As far as the town sites are concerned, you definitely should not miss to see the Town Museum and the Gallery where you can admire works of recognized Yugoslav painters from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at a price of only fifty dinars.
Historically, very important part of Valjevo is Tesnjar, well-preserved shopping centre dating from the time of the Turkish Empire.

Those who are keen on shopping can find some chic places in Karadjordjeva and Knez Miloseva Streets, as well as in Tesnjar. Many cosy cafes are situated there, too.
In addition, one more convenience- you can manage in Valjevo on foot because all the places mentioned are close to each other. Enjoy yourselves!
