ABOUT BOYS AND GIRLS IN OUR GROUP

Most boys in our group think that girls like to argue, have strong opinions and like to talk about other people. But they also like to work hard in class. They usually do their homework regularly, they don't make noise in class and often help other students with their work. They like working with their hands but they don't like using computers. They don't like sport, they don't get into fights and they usually get a lot of attention from the teacher.

On the other hand, boys in our group think that boys don't like to appologize and often forget things. They usually don't help with housework at home. They sometimes get into fights and often break school rules.

REPORT ON THE USE OF THE COMPUTER

Introduction The purpose of this report is to summarize the results of a survey about the use of computers and the Internet. The report is based on a sample of 28 people who attend English classes in Lingva school for foreign languages.

The results A total of 75 per cent of those questioned have a computer. This number might come as a surprise for people who live abroad, especially for people in the western part of Europe but it gives a real picture of our presence. More and more people tend to buy a computer as the easiest way of getting in touch with the world. It is very important to mention that vast majority of those questioned are teenagers. That is the reason why so many answered that very important role in the use of a computer is played by the Internet. 76.2 pre cent of people who have computers are connected to the Internet.

The benefits Interestingly, 43.75 per cent use the Internet as the main source for getting information. Newspapers, magazines and TV stations are not so fast in providing the information from abroad and the younger people are more interested in the happenings and sport events that take place in the world. Of course that all of us can select the use of computer we most enjoy. The teenagers use it not only to find out what is happening in the world but they are using it to gain more knowledge in a particular field of science. The adults are following the trend and we can see more elderly people at the computer trying to get more knowledge about the computer as well as to find its secrets.

Conclusion To sum up, it is clear that computers and the Internet are very popular in our community. On the whole, the Internet is of a great value for many people and our local survey confirms the world wide trend.
