Family Festivals

Most of the family festivals in Serbia are connected with family patron saints. These festivals called Slava are both traditional and religious in the Serbs' history. They are not only family festivals; hosting the guests represents one of their more important aspects, which develops the communal spirit. An invitation to a Slava feast is never turned down.
