All That Glitters is Not Gold

Valjevo is a town in western Serbia with a long tradition. A lot of institutions in Valjevo are well-known throughout the country like schools, hospitals, banks, post office,... The citizens of Valjevo have always been proud of their post office. The renovation of the post office building started last year and was finished a few weeks ago.

The new building is very modern and it looks like a breath of fresh air in the old-fashioned environment. It is made of glass and marble. It has a large number of reflective glass windows and halogen lights. The interior is always full of light and it is a pleasant place to be in. On the one hand it fits in with the environment and on the other hand it doesn't.

Most people are very much attracted by this building. I think it is very good to have such a building in the center of the town. However, people are not satisfied with the services they get. They say it would be better to have a post office with better services and modern equipment than with a modern look.
