Here it is at last, LINGVA WEB THISTLE that will cling to your brain!

This is the first ESL Electronic Magazine in Valjevo. It has taken more than six months to complete, including that unfortunate period of NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, when we could not do much. So much higher was our enthusiasm when it was over and we were free at last to continue working on it!

The students were very excited at the thought of not only reading something on the internet, but taking an active part in drawing and writing for their own web site. Some of them had never touched a computer before, let alone used it. Those that had did not do much more than play games. This time the world both came to them and they went out into the world themselves. They had the time of their lives. 

We hope that most of our 1st issue headings will turn into regular features in the next issues, but we are also open to suggestions for new ideas and would greatly appreciate direct contributions from our readers.
