A Happy Day in My Life
by Maja Mitroviæ, 16

It was the last party that I had - a celebration of my birthday. I waited until Saturday to celebrate it because my birthday was on a schoolday. It was a great party my friends were having a lot of fun. They said that I had invited some of my schoolfriends from my new class, some from my previous class and some from my neighbourhood. I was very impatient waiting for them. Before they arrived I had prepared the cassettes of our favourite music and had also set out plates with food in one side of the room. My mother and sister helped me, of course. Finally, my friends arrived. Soon we were having a great time. Some of us were dancing and some were eating and drinking. When they didn't hope and were not prepared I was taking pictures of them. One of my friends often cracked the jokes so we were laughing all the time. My sister and my friend were playing the piano and the guitar and the rest of us were singing together. That was really great. Some of my friends went home about midnight and others left the party at about one after midnight. I was really sorry when they went home but at the same time I was glad and happy because the party was really great and all my friends had a lot of fun.
